Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: http://www.biblioiranica.info. While your privacy is very important to us, we do not collect any user information for financial purposes and do not sell any user data. In general, no financial transactions take place at Bibliographia Iranica. We are too small for that, and financial gain is not one of our goals. The only times we receive any user data, is when you contact us or when you subscribe to our site. However, some of the plugins we use, notably Akismet and Jetpack, might receive some user related data such as IP addresses. For more on these issues, see below. For more information about the individuals working on this website, have a look at the list of the contributors.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We do not consciously collect any information from our users that we would process further. We love you, but  have no use for your data and do not want it for us.

Comments

This feature is disabled on this website, so we do not collect any information from comments.

Media

We do not allow our users to upload any images. We thus do not have access to embedded location data (EXIF GPS) and the like.

Contact forms

You can contact us by using the contact form provided. We use your e-mail address so that we can respond to your queries, but we do not save your e-mail in a database and do not sell these to third parties. When you contact us, we receive information about the dispatch time and the sender’s IP address. We do not systematically collect, sell or process these IP addresses. We look at them and then forget about them.

Subscriptions

You can subscribe to our e-mail notification system to receive updates about new entries on the website. This process is automated, and we do not receive any other information from you than the e-mail address you provide to the notification system.

Cookies

As we do not allow comments, the site does not set any cookies related to comments; we hope at least.

Our visitors cannot create user accounts. Therefore, there should not be any account related cookies set.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie would normally be saved in your browser. But this feature is not available to the public.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We only look at our visitor statistics that are made available through WordPress and Jetpack. These are anonymous and the result of some sort of magic that we do not understand.

Who we share your data with

We love you but are not interested in your data and do not collect or share your data with any other parties, unless WordPress and Jetpack do so. But we do not know of this and take no responsibilities for their actions.

How long we retain your data

We do not collect or retain your data.

What rights you have over your data

This section seems to be relevant to accounts. Since we do not provide user accounts to our site’s visitors, we think this point to be moot. In general, we believe that you have all the rights over your data.

Where we send your data

We do not have your data, so we do not send it anywhere. You can keep your data and do with it as you wish :).
